The Spirit Of Brooklands by Douglas Kurn is a photo book consisting of long exposure photographs taken at night at the former Brooklands Motor Racing Circuit in Weybridge, Surrey, UK.
To contrast with how the track was during race days Douglas chose to shoot at night and only when it was completely still. This resulted in some beautiful yet eerie results which are are presented in this book.
The book consists of over 30 images from the series (see the Brooklands Gallery). It includes some commentary from the photographer.
It is a large format landscape book (13×11 in, 33×28 cm) with a hardback linen cover and printed dust jacket & flaps.
